Die Show beginnt.
03:15 Uhr - Er lässt folgende Worte lauten: "And I'm involved in a lot of the games that we're showing here at the show. And our staff is a little smaller than usual thanks in part to the fear of Swine Flu. It's okay if I get sick, but some of the other guys, no. Actually, I've just been so busy for quite a while now. In actuality, from my hotel I'm sending e-mails to programmers back in Japan during my time here,"
03:16 Uhr: Weitere Worte vom Herrn Miyamoto: "Actually, there's another project that's been taking a lot of time my time lately, but it's a very enjoyable project."
03:18 Uhr: "I kind of had this idea that it'd be great if you could carry your Nintendo DS with you as you made your way around town to your daily activities."
03:19 Uhr: Er spricht über den neuen Zelda DS-Teil, New Super Mario Bros. Wii und Wii Sports Resort.
03:20 Uhr - Zwei Personen spielen New Super Mario Bros.
03:31 Uhr - "With Super Mario Galaxy, it's the first time we really worked with spherical worlds and we had a lot of ideas about how to use gravity. However, when we finished the game, we realized there were a ton of ideas we just couldn't fit in,"
03:33 Uhr - Nun erwähnt Miyamoto WiiSports Resort.
03:36 Uhr - "When we were first designing the hardware, Wii Sports was one of the titles we were working on. And we were already thinking about, after Wii Sports, what could we do?"
03:57 Uhr - The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks ist an der Reihe.
04:10 Uhr - Q: Microsoft and Sony showed their motion controls. I would like to hear Mr. Miyamoto's feedback.
A: Miyamoto says for Nintendo the strategy is to do development and get the hardware ready and have software ready and then make the announcements. Until this new technology reaches that level, it's really impossible to make any judgement on it. "Of course, we're working at R&D at Nintendo. The things that we've seen here are things we've seen before," he says.
04:12 Uhr - Q: Can you share your thoughts on the Wii Vitality sensor and how you might use it in your games?
A: "I think it's a very unique device and I've been interested in it for quite awhile."
04:17 Uhr - Q: Question about making New Super Mario Bros. Wii hard in the same way that the Japanese build of SMB2 was hard.
A: "We really want these games to be enjoyed by such a wide variety of people so that's really a tough challenge for us."
04:20 Uhr - Q: Cranky Craig just asked a good question about how Wii Sports Resort has a stamp system. He asked, is this maybe the start of a full-blown achievements system for Wii?
A: "Not, maybe, in the overall sense that you're talking about," replies Miyamoto. It just fit Wii Sports Resort. "I'm not a big fan of using the carrots to motivate people to play. I want people to play because they enjoy playing and want to play more." (Sorry, Bozon.) "The stamps within Wii Sports Resort are more of an impetus to play in different ways and to try and do different things."
04:24 Uhr - New Super Mario Bros.
