A Boy And His Blob ist momentan das aktuelle Wii-Projekt von Way Forward. Wer schon Videos oder Screenshots vom Wii-Titel gesehen hat, merkte schon sofort, das hier ein knuddeliger Look zum Einsatz kommt, welcher aber nicht nur die jüngeren Spieler ansprechen soll. Dennoch könnte man meinen, das es sich hierbei um einen Disney-Film handeln könnte. Denn genau hier gab es auch einen Einfluss. Denn Sean Velasco, der Director des Spiels, hat verraten das Filme wie Winnie Pooh ein großer Einfluss war, um die warmen Gefühle mit zu integrieren. Hinzu war Mityazaki ein weiterer Einfluss.

Dazu verriet er auch noch, wie viel Zeit man in das Spiel ungefähr investiert. Demnach gibt es ingesamt 80 Level. 40 Stages und noch einmal 40 Challenge Stages. Somit kommt man ungefähr auf gut 20 Stunden Spielzeit.
